the form of a statement I don't know. I had told nobody before

To the Court

I first told my story as to the man with grey suit 7

throwing something into the Bank garden to Mr.Brutton. I told

my master I had seen 2 men running away and that I had seen

one of them throw the thing into the garden. I am telling the

truth. I swear to it.

Re-examined

I did see the European carrying a etisk. I did see some-

thing thrown into Hongkong Bank garden and I did see 2 Chinese firemen. The 2 men were ruhhing very fast round the corner and one of them pulled up a little threw something down and kept on running.

Ngai Chuk Kwan,

stone outter on Hongkong Bank building. On 24th.Feb- ruary I heard a neise about to 12. A noise of people. Cutting stones on the ground on the footpath I saw 2 men running along the path by Bank garden they turned West. Did not see any ricksha coolies about. åt first they were running very fast and at the corner the 2nd,man stopped a little and waived his arm.

Behind these 2 there was a small man came running and he went across the tram line. Then a European. He was the last not very certain if he was big or small. He also went across the tram line. Also 7 or 8 Chinese running along Wardley Street in the middle of the road between the statue and tram line. I also saw 2 firemen. I did not follow them up. I did not see anybody under arrest. The man flung his arm close up to the garden. I could not make out what it was.

(Describes on plan his position).
